car lover 1996 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 The other day I was reading that revell new release page in the kit reviews and they have some good ideas on there. They had a small racecar and trailer and a 72 olds cutlass, so they will definitly be on my want list. These are very good kit ideas that I like, but sometimes I wish they would do something different. They have already done a good number of muscle cars, now I do love all the muscle car kits though. Also I think they have done a number of lowriders in the past as well. But like I said, I do like their kits even though I do not do lowriders. All Im saying is it would be nice if revell did something different like working class vehicles or pickup trucks or even a van. Well, I am happy with the fall releases, I just thought it would be nice to give my ideas.
Railfreak78 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I think it would be cool to see a van release too but I'm pleased with the 2010 line up. I can't wait to get the new 2010 Mustang to do a replica build for a friend of mine. I like the race car trailer and I am stocking up on the Bronco coming back. The over all line up looks pretty good.
Guest Markus355 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 i would like to see more 30's 40's and 50's cars ASIDE from the usual suspects ie 55,56, 57 chevys, 32 fords, etc. a nice model A kit would be cool. or a 54 caddy.. or a 57 buick or oldsmobile. that said theres half a dozen cars in the new release list i will definatly be buying.

Cannot wait to get my mitts on a few of the Kurtis Midgets--finally, after more than 50yrs waiting, an ACCURATE KK Midget that isn't megabux resin (But that Etzel's Speed Classics resin midget kit was schweet!) There were enough of those built (nearly 700 all total) and literally several thousand paint schemes, sponsor logos/graphics--where to start? Art
car lover 1996 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 yeah I am pleased with the lineup. The mustang looks good too.
Greg Cullinan Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I am interested in acquiring most if not all of Revells new releases. I have some catching up to do as I've been a feign for vintage kits I've been neglecting new releases. My next purchase will be the dd and munsters tins.
Jim0205 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 The caddy and the t bird are on my must haves overall the line up looks good.
mrmike Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I too, am interested in Revell's new releases. But, if you want Revell to consider making a certain subject, you should tell them about it. Send them a letter or email and tell them what you would like to see in the future. Don't send a petition with lots of signitures as some companies view that as only one letter. The more letters sent by other individuals will have a greater affect on them. Just my 2 cents!
mountaindewd Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 working class vehicles or pickup trucks I'm with ya on this! As popular as pickups are these days, why are there so few available?

Railfreak78 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I do agree with you all on the truck issue. I understand the fact that everyone wants certain trucks like years and models and you can not expect a company to make that many molds but now in recent years the Turbo Diesel truck era is a complete hit. I'd say go common ground like a 99 and up but not brand new Ford F-250/350 with the diesel. or a Dodge with a Cummins and go with a longer run common body. I know I'd buy a lot of them. I want the super duty to make a roll back.

jbwelda Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 i am very interested in the midgets as well. has anyone seen them or reviewed them yet? from pre-production examples maybe? just wondering what the level of detail that can be expected. would be nice to see them fully detailed, by that i mean an accurate chassis and running gear, instead of simplified least common denominator sort of thing. either way that small flathead and the offy motors ought to be worth it just for them. most of the rest doesnt do much for me but i thought i had seen that the black widow (not the 57 chevy, the T bodied ancient roadster from Monogram) was due back and i always really dug that kit for its simplicity but clean design.
