whats the best way to remove the sticky stuff left behind from removing masking tape on fuel tanks?

use tamiya masking tape, it doesn't seem to leave residue on your parts.

wont use anything else but tamiya tape, its been on the tanks for 2 weeks and after removing it left residue, never had a problem with other parts except chrome, tryed nail polish and it started to lift the chrome, tryed car polish with no luck, wont try thinners as it may be too harsh, tryed rubbing it with water and cloth it just wont remove it...help...

have you tried rubbing it out with tooth paste, then warm soapy water to clean after? good luck

( it has to be the old fashion style of paste, just enouph fine grit for cleaning but wont scratch it up)
