Kennyboy Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) The scoop on the movie car was I believe(???) from a Torino GT and was massaged into the Merc hood. Looks pretty similar...... Edited September 11, 2013 by Kennyboy
tktom24 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 The Milner (Paul LeMat)coupe plate? Anyone that's a fan of the movie (I have been, since I was about 6 and first watched it) knows that plate number. THX 138. The dragster was from the somewhat obscure sequel. The 58 Impala mentioned above was "owned" by Steve Bolander (Ron Howard.) The 55 used in the movie, and driven by Harrison Ford was also the same car later used in Two Lane Blacktop as most of you know. Suzanne Sommers was gorgeous in that movie...Makenzie Phillips not so much. The "main" Pharaoh was Jerry Reed, later known as "The Snowman" in the Bandit movies. In my opinion, it's the best Lucas film ever.
tktom24 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Bo Hopkins was the main pharaoh in that movie.
Stuntman Mike Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 If you want to go as accurate as possible with the COBRA Merc, you need to go for the AMT kit and chop the roof by yourself. The Revell kit´s roof is too low. The scoop on the hood can be done with sheet as it is shaped pretty simple.
MAGNUM4342 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 What I don't get is why you guys keep bringing up Jerry Reed as being in American Graffiti. Check the complete cast list, then check his film credits. Jerry Reed WAS NOT in AG.
Dave Van Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Confusing Bo Hopkins and Jerry Reed for some reason.....
