My latest project. I started with the Union kit, and did a fair number of body mods to make it more realistic. Engine is fully wired and plumbed, lots of little extras like the brass surround for the carb, custom made shocks. Decals are Cady, paint is Duplicolor gloss black engine enamel + Future. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Brian! This kit ranks right up there with the worst from AMT in terms of fit and molding. I'm doing a MK IV from the same company, and it is 100% better in terms of quality.

Yur a brave man Billy, I remember that kit. I bought one of tha Revell GT's over a decade ago instead....still haven't decided which Ford racer to model or if I will build it into my own entrant.

Nice job turning a marginable kit into something nice. :D

What a great job on this one!...I know it, because, I did one of this GT 40's and believe me, it does't has the level of todays models, despite, It was considered a high level model back in the 60's. I would like to share what I did (if you allowe me)with the 1964 Le Mans version of this model from IMC, specially for Monoped, who haven't seen one of this before.

Very cool, Simon!!

I just got my hands on the recent Fujimi kit of the 1969 Gulf Oil GT40, and it looks downright simple compared to these two builds!!
