Anson Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I am starting on a 69 Hurst Olds 442. The real car was painted Cameo White with Firefrost Gold accent stripes. I am trying to find the best match for these colors. I cannot afford to buy the real Dupont 5033F Dover White or Dupont 579LO Firefrost Gold Since they only come in pint and quart amounts. My question is what would be the best Floquil or Testors or any other paints to use that I can get in either a spray can or small jars. I know the kit comes with Decals but the real car had the gold painted on and that is what I would like to recreate since I had one when I was in my 20's.
Guest Johnny Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Potsie??? Is that you???!!! I used Testors White and Testors gold with a clear overcoat! Came out pretty close.

Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Keith Marks decals to the rescue. They are actually gold versus the nearly brown color of the kit decals. Email Keith at mofobow@hotmail.com to order a set.
