69*Goat Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I finished this one in a record 5 days...(That's fast for me). It is the Revell kit, and in all honesty, I was impressed with how well it went together. The floor was a little warped, but it was nothing that a little patients, and CA could not fix. Enjoy:
69*Goat Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 Pretty slick. I like the red. is your "sail panel" gloss black, or is it carbon fiber? Either way - it looks cool. I tried the CF decal route, but I could not get it to my liking. The sail panels are shot with Tamiya TS-14 Gloss Black. I then mixed TS-14 gloss black, with TS-21 Gold and I shot it through a mesh to get the CF look. If I take a picture with a Macro lens, you would see the effect.
Greg Cullinan Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Nice, very smooth and shiny paint.Clean build all around. Red is the perfect color for this type of ride.
69*Goat Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 I am kind of surprised that this thing did not get more comments. It was definitely one of my better paint jobs. Usually I wait a week before I start polishing. My dehydrator was the life saver here. I could have never finished this thing in 5 days had it not been for that.
