My latest completion: Revell Audi R8

I finished this one in a record 5 days...(That's fast for me).

It is the Revell kit, and in all honesty, I was impressed with how well it went together. The floor was a little warped, but it was nothing that a little patients, and CA could not fix.

Pretty slick. I like the red.

is your "sail panel" gloss black, or is it carbon fiber? Either way - it looks cool.

I tried the CF decal route, but I could not get it to my liking. The sail panels are shot with Tamiya TS-14 Gloss Black. I then mixed TS-14 gloss black, with TS-21 Gold and I shot it through a mesh to get the CF look. If I take a picture with a Macro lens, you would see the effect.

Red is the perfect color for this type of ride.

I am kind of surprised that this thing did not get more comments. It was definitely one of my better paint jobs. Usually I wait a week before I start polishing. My dehydrator was the life saver here. I could have never finished this thing in 5 days had it not been for that.
