crowe-t Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Has anyone used a 1/25 scale body on a Revell/Monogram 1/24 Pro Stock chassis kit?
Tedly Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I've done it a few times. It works if the body is a "bigger" car like one time I used a 58 chevy AMT body and it worked good. All I can say is give it a try, it usually works.
camarobuilder Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I used the 1:25 Revell Warren Johnson Olds for my Pro Street '69 Camaro. I had to scratch build the floor and mofify the cage. I used to main chassis, but made it flat, where the original sloped up at the front edges. The front and rear suspension are from the Olds kit. Frank

Is the chassis & cage from a Monogram Reher Morrison(or similar) kit? Do you have any more pictures you can post, especially the chassis with the body off? Mike.
camarobuilder Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 No...1:25 Warren Johnson Olds Pro Stock Cutlass. I'll try to get some other pictures. Sorry...The body is mounted permanently. Frank

Frank Frank, Is the 1/25 Warren Johnson Olds Pro Stock Cutlass a better fit for the 69 Revell Camaro then the Reher Morrison or the newer Pontiac Firebird Pro Stocks? Mike. brett Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Mike, I just went and checked for you, The firebird chassis is way to wide to fit. The olds chassis fits pretty good and wheelbase is pretty close. The pro sportsman (55 and 57 Chev) are almost made for it (you would need to cut off just bebind the wheel tubs on all of them) and those kits are still pretty easy to get hold of, that's the way I would go if it were me.
crowe-t Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Does anyone have pictures of the Revell Oldsmobile Pro Stock kit's parts?
crowe-t Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) Dave, Thanks for posting that picture. Do you have a picture of the underside of the chassis? I want to see what the rear suspension looks like. I'm going to buy one of the re-issue kits from Model King so I would imagine it has the later wheels. Here are pictures of the Pro Mod Camaro body I'm getting. I believe it's based on the Revell 1/25 69 Camaro body. Edited October 30, 2010 by crowe-t
crowe-t Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Don suggested the Revell Firebird Pro Stock and gave me the e-mail address for Model King. The Firebird is 1/24 scale and will need more modifications to make fit. I'll probably get the Olds and the Firebird and even a 55 Chevy Sportsman since I'm not too sure.
Belair2k Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 "Here are pictures of the Pro Mod Camaro body I'm getting. " Yeah... Good luck to you. You'll need it.
Mike Kucaba Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 This thread was started in 2010..... He's probably STILL waiting for that body!
crowe-t Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 I did get the body but have since turned my attention to other projects. One day I'll get to building this one.
NYLIBUD Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Wait I thought Reliable Resin went out of business.I dealt with Don,the owner years ago,and unfortunately I had nothing but problems getting my orders. It would take months, and I remember one order that took a year or so.Just FYI.

You are responding to a thread started 2010 and latest update in 2014. So I guess your info about them being out of business is true.
