I have seen it done, not sure what forum, but have seen it done before, using temp tattos. I am currently trying some from www.ssmvending.com, out of a vending machine, my question is has anyone try it here on this forum and have any luck with them laying done smooth? I thought of using flat paint as it is close to skin, then clear coating. I have done that with one coat clear, looks like it may take several coats to get it smooth. Is there any particular brand that is better than another brand?

this is what I have done in the past with success...

first took a plain sheet for printer wather slide decals ( any brand it's not important the testor work good too) apply a coat of clear on it.

second apply your temp tatoo as you do normaly on the sheet.

third apply ONE coat of clear ( at this stage I always took a water base clear like future wax OR the microscale clear coat )

fourth. apply the decals as usual on your model.

and finally clear your model with SEVERAL coat... enought to go higher than the tatoo. after a but of buffing and VOILA it's done.

let me know if it's work on your side.

Wow i never thought about that, what a great idea, that way too im thinking if anything goes wrong on the decal paper before you apply the decal paper with temp tattoo it will be on the paper not the model. Ill give it a try and see what happens.
