chase-cars Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Hi Dan, yes I do sell some 1:32 scale bodies. Finding the old '77 MPC kit was really hard, do you know how long they were produced for? Graphics on at last! I couldn't face getting them as messy as in the movie so they're only a little dirty.
imatt88 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Cool! I would love to see one in 25th scale as well...I'd buy one Mike, leave it to you to bring up the B-Body Pointac thing For sure, a Grandville would be nice Cheers, Ian
Edsel-Dan Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 chase-cars, That kit was only produced Once!! And as far as I can tell by quantity, was only in the MPC catalog for One year. I got mine New in a store in Pittsburgh, Pa, back in Early '80!! Either McRory's, Zayer's Or GC Murphy/Murphy-Mart None of those are in business now!! I have only seen 4-5 more since, and have not been lucky enough to get them!! Hopefully MPC/Round2 will re-issue it some day soon. If they do I will get at least 2 cases!! Right now, the only problem I have in buying one of your resin bodies is a way to pay for it. No creditcards or paypal. Also, sadly, right now, International US Postal Money Orders are not good in the UK the last I checked!
chase-cars Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) Here's the whole reason for building the 1:32 bodyshell, those countless hours of research, worry, pestering people and money spent. Actions speak louder than words, and this in action shows how different it is to a normal slot car. Click the picture for a youtube video. Watch out for the '77 Dodges as pursuit police cars, and a classic Hollywood crash at 1 minute 12 seconds! Edited June 24, 2012 by chase-cars
kruleworld Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) I couldn't face getting them as messy as in the movie so they're only a little dirty. just give the decals a thin wash of acrylic matt black, you can darken them down until they match the movie car. thats what i did.
