Here's the latest. It's AMT's original 1971 issue of the Ford Louisville, with a later issue of the tanker trailer. The tractor went together perfect. I changed out the kit's chrome wheels for some spoke units from some Ford C series cabovers. I added a home cast AC unit on the cab and made the Texaco decals myself. I spray painted it Testors gloss red. I've never really liked this kit or truck much until this build. I've actually gotten to like it, and have a half dozen or more variants in the closet to build.

The trailer was a pain compared to the truck. I've only built this kit one time before, in 1988 when I was in high school. It just did not want to fit together well. I fought it all the way, and while it's not perfect I called it close enough. I made the Texaco emblems on the trailer also, along with the hazard placards. the tank is spray painted Testors metallic silver, with the frame and suspension painted the same red as the tractor. It gives the look of a typical no frills fleet truck, which are by far my favorite

I'll try and replace these pics with better ones this weekend. I apologize for the poor quality of these.

That has to be one of the best built examples of those two kits I've ever seen!

Beautiful work!

Nice job! The LNT8000 looks great. I agree with you on the tanker. It just doesn't go together well. I really struggled with the fit on my Amoco tanker. Yours looks good.

Outstanding build! Ihas just the right look of a fleet hauler!

Can't wait to see your future builds of this kind!
