Mike Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Just recently completed this one. It's the first Mopar I've ever built. It's a fantastic kit (IMHO) with plenty of detail and good fit.
Harry P. Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 The first MOPAR you ever built??? Well, it's about time!!! Looks good!
Guest roadkill2525 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I like how you did the color on the pipes and mufflers. Overall a great looking build. Is the grill a photoeched peice and is there a Charger 500 conversion?
cruz Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Hey, thanks for lying to us about your FIRST Mopar build  It looks to me that it's the 30th one you have built
dukeaholic Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Nice build!!! I myself enjoy building the 69 chargers and daytonas too. I am more of a General Lee fan. As for how available the daytona is, I see this kit all the time at wallmart. It is usually the same price as any other kit. There was also an accual 1969 charger 500 kit released years ago but I haven't seen it in about 10 yrs in stores. The General Lee kit ATM released has a 500 rear window yes but has the regular 69 grill piece. I do believe the GL kit that came out with the new movie cast on the box is the same. The FNF charger kit has the body moulded as a 69 charger with sunk in rear window and has both 69 and 70 grill pieces in the kit. It also has vector rims and a pushbar for the front bumper and has the same rollcage as the GL kit. The hood comes solid and would have to cut the hole for the blower.
bsoder Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 The new pics. make your Daytona look even better Mike..if that's possible, really makes me want to build one!!.....B
