75th Ranger Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Any one built the 1969 Camaro Z-28 by motor works? If so post the pics here please.
my name is nobody Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I built this one for a CBP on another board. its just the old Monogram '69 Camaro Z/28 in a different box. twin turbo small block.
george 53 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 You did a REAL nice job on that kit,Chuck. I just used it for parts, and sold the body an stuff to the slot racers. It IS a good source for parts, even if the body itself isn't all that accurate. Nice job!
my name is nobody Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 sorry, had to go dig this Camaro out of storage. I built this kit box stock. only added the white hockey-stick stripe to the car. engine: this kit, despite its obvious flaws, does include some nice parts. Dana 60 rear end: as almost everyone who entered this particular CBP was building the Revell version (which is light years better than this kit) I built this just to be different. and it was only $7.50.....
diymirage Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 i build the revell release of this kit, same exact plastic, different box
Mark Brown Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 even if the body itself isn't all that accurate. That's being VERY generous - it's simply awful. Almost cartoonish.
diymirage Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 That's being VERY generous - it's simply awful. Almost cartoonish. i think its one of the best looking camaros out there if you ask me, the kit is dead on, but chevy missed the mark
Abell82 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I've built about a dozen of these kits, in there various incarnations. It's much funner to build then the Revell kit, as it excepts customization easier, and has a much smaller piece count. It also looks SO much better then the AMT and the MPC versions, that came out before it. It only took Revell something like 30 years to come out with thier kit.. to bad they couldn't figure out how to do a "Cuda as well as they did the 69 Camaro. Here are a few bad photos. I haven't taken new pics since I got the new camera.
