Billy Kingsley Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 WOW! The NNL East is over and done with, and while I hate that that is true, I don't think my back, legs and feet could handle any more right now...LOL. I'm beat, I tells ya! As usual, the Tri-State guys put on a WONDERFULL show. In was smooth, flawless, perfect, etc, I could keep going until I run out of abjectives. This was, believe it or not, my 7th NNL East. I know I talked to way, way too many people to try to list, but I had fun talking to all of you! I probably talked to more too that I didn't even realize, as I was working the show for the third time and this time my duties included handing out show flyers (which I realized when I got home, I didn't keep one! ACK! That makes it the first year I don't have one for ) and I also collected registration slips. I didn't have time to read them or else I may have realized I missed people. I had so much fun, I think it was my favorite NNL East I've been to. I hated to leave. I'm really wiped out right now and am kind of in a fog, so I'll leave you with some pics and a link to my album My NASCAR Builds...With the chrome car on the right and the Bobby Hamilton car I finished Thursday night on the left...I had 12 total and 7 of them were NASCAR... Best in show winning diorama Some test shots from Revell....I took detailed parts layout shots of the Mercury, which you can find on the link...I have some Lindberg test shots photographed there too! This was done on a Computer....New from Scale MotorSport! Looking down on the show from the stage, near the end. Steve was waiting to take pictures of the award winners. Here's the link to the rest of them... http://public.fotki.com/ElCaminoBilly/mode.../nnl-east-2007/

RJWood Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 WOW.. Looks like I would have had a WONDERFUL time also. Wish I could have been there. But the airfare would have set me back a few hundred kits...LOL Thanks for the pics, at least I got a feeling of how much fun it was. next year when you go to your 8th NNL, maybe I should send you my credit card and you can max it out for me...LOL again, thanks for da photos.
MrObsessive Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Good to see you again too Billy! You had some really cool builds there! As usual I had a good time talking with your Mom.................hope to see you all again next year!
bob paeth Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 First my thanks go out to all of you modelers who took the time to take and post the many pics of this annual meet. Being in the upper left hand corner of this great country of ours, it is difficult to participate in things on the East coast. Secondly, my hats is off the the modeler by the name of Bill Stillwagon. His custom ideas ( and workmanship ) are what I strive for. A wild imagination. KEEP IT GOING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bob
MrObsessive Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Bill's work IS outstanding!! I have the fortune of being in the same club as him (MAMA) and I get to see these in person! His work is seamless...............nary a parting line or bodywork flaw can be found! 8)
bobss396 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 It was a great show indeed! I never saw so many '32 Fords in one event, all were works of art. I met a few new people and should have socialized more but was too busy $pending ca$h and looking at the great models on display. Nice work on all that posted photo albums. Bob
ismaelg Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Question on the '67 Corvette coupe reissue: From the box art pic (Quite ugly box art with a C6 instrument cluster as background BTW) Will it have minilite wheels? I see a Grand Sport style custom hood and sidepipes as well. Was there a test build sample? Thanks,
Steve D. Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I didn't arrive to the show until 12;45 , so after setting up , and grabbing a bite to eat , the day was almost over before I got started . I saw you a couple of times and was going to introduce myself but it seems there was always a crowd and i didn't want to impose . Any way I'm the guy in photo 75 in your line -up , maybe if your going to Masscar I'll see you there . See you around the clubhouse , Steve D.
