Hi everyone, finally completed my latest build, which is this, the Ducati 'Tricolore'. (This is what has kept me from the site for while  )

The 'Tricolore' is a special edition paint scheme offered on selected Ducati's over the past years based on the Italian flag, but unfortunately, the 916 version was never offered in this colour, to my knowledge and research anyway.

So, in view of that, this is my version of what I believe it could have looked like if ever offered.

It's been built box stock from the Tamiya kit, with photoetch bolts on the fairings, and carbon fibre decals on the exhaust.

The models alright, there are a few things I'm not happy with, I really need to try and lift my standards a bit.

Thanks for looking, please feel free to comment.

Kane.

Superb detail, as said already, hard to tell it from the real thing.

Building a Tamiya Hayabusa myself so like to see more bikes on this site......even if it is called Model Cars :D

Awesome work my friend, terrific job on this bike. I have a few of them stashed away and would love to do one, of course, that's after I finish off some projects I have ongoing.... :D:lol:

Yes, Kane, you really need to lift those standards. Uhhhh, the flaws in this build are legion and glaringly obvious....

But seriously, that is a spectacularly awesome build. The three-color scheme mimics the real Ducati version perfectly. And all the other colors, shades, details, washes, et cetera combine to bring the bike alive.
