Maryland State Police Ford Taurus Police Interceptor

Here you guys! Feast your eyes on this! ;D Let me first tell you what a pain it was repainting this thing. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!

Anyhow.......it's now complete and ready to be delivered to it's anxious owner.

A few details I added are flocking the interior, installing some of my interior strobes, adding door mirror strobes, adding the missing rear window trim, removing the toy like spotlights from the windsheild and relocating it to the A-Pillar complete with an interior handle, adding hand made antennas and creating some detailed lenses for the license plate reader cameras. I also detail the wheels with wheel weights and air valve stems.

The hood still needs to get polished since I just painted it this morning.

Nice work, Zoli! Frank, afaik the new 1:1 Interceptor is not yet available, tho I would think it must be soon. As for the Motormax this is made from, I haven't had any luck yet. Why must Wal-Box be so "hit-or-miss"? I mean, someone out there must sell these... and in stock?

I too have hit up 4 different Wally-Worlds and have had ZERO luck. I am not even a Taurus fan, but the new body style just has something I like to it, and this model (yes, I know it is a die-cast) just calls to me for some reason!

Beautiful job on the super-detailing of this, took an already good base and went to another level with it.

Well done Zoli !!! I'm going to have to pick one or two of those up. It will be interesting to see if Ford stays the Police Car sales champs once the CV's are gone now that Dodge and Chevy are back in it. The Carbon Motors E7 should be out next year too. I wonder how many dept's will spring for the twin turbo engine in the Taurus?

Very nice. I guess I like Maryland's color scheme! B)

Zero luck at my local Wal Nut (though they're winding down inventory to move into the new 'Super Center' across the street), so I suppose I'll order mine online. I'm thinking of turning one into a Lincoln MKS. ;)

Looking Great.

I Could really use some BIGGER pics B)

Did you Scratch build the spot light?

Where are the license plate reader cameras? Front of the lightbar?

Antennas Look Great.

It took me 6 Walmarts to find One Black one

(I drive for a liven so I gets around ;) )

Not to derail this...but the new PI starts production in the fall, as a 2012 model. If the Carbon ever sees the light of day (I simply refuse to believe they have the pre-orders they say they do, it would represent almost 30% of the market for a car that technically doesn't exist) it will not be out until 2013.

I wouldn't surprise me one bit to see this creation on the road next Spring. Since MD only ever bought that one Charger, and hasn't had any GM cars since the Caprice was retired...but then it had Caprices for a LONG TIME before that...so perhaps.

Great job Zoli!

Usually, you can order stuff from WM website and have it shipped locally to your store. But these dam cars aren't even on their site! lol!!!!!! No luck at 4 of my WM today. And only ONE had the line, the expedition, impala, and a CV. All of their boxes were torn up. No luck for restock:/
