baumi94 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Hello my name is Bence Baumgartner! I live in Hungary i build model kits since 2006. My favourites are the muscle cars but i build military veichiles too. Im 17 years old and i want to introduce myself on modelcars mag with this revell kit. I had started this kit in 2009 and now i have done, because until the building process i made a lot of mistakes. I worked a lot on this Firebird, i hope you like it!

KENNEDYJR Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 That is a great looking Bird! So how much do model kits cost in Hungary?
Jim Gibbons Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Hi Bence, and nice job on your Firebird. The Route 66 diorama base adds a lot to the model. I'm sure that your military modeling adds much to your skills. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.
crazyjim Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Welcome to the MCM forum, Bence. Good looking Firebird.
baumi94 Posted July 3, 2011 Author Posted July 3, 2011 Hello guys Thanks for the kind komments and the warm welcome! Kenndy jr I have bought this kit two years ago for 5500 Forint(Huf) it's near 25 dollar. In Hungary you can buy old AMT and Monogram/Revell kits cheap from older modellers but the latest kits are very expensive because there are only a few trader who trading with them. In online stores now this kit is near 10.000 Forint it's more expensive than Tamiya. The revell europe kits are 5 or 6 thousand forint, Tamiyas are more expensive. In this year i purchased these kits. I bought the corvette for 3500 Forint, the Petty Belvedere was expensive 6500, the nascar was 2000 but somebody started the kit a little bit, the dodge 330 was 3500 but the body was injured. Sorry i cant upload my pictures.
charlie8575 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Welcome to the board. I especially like the base. It looks like you used an actual piece of hot-top. Is that the case? Charlie Larkin
