FordRodnKustom Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 (edited) I started this build as a friendly challenge on another forum, working on it when I had the time. Here's what rolled into the shop-a rare six tail light AMT 60 T-Bird. After about eight months and more than a few trials and tribulations here's what I ended up with- I totally enjoyed the build and got a lot of satisfaction bringing this old glue bomb back to life! bsoder Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Verrrry nice!!...that's a T-Bird with some serious attitude, excellent save
LAone Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 wow, great job on the resto. im liking the color combo with the slightly lower chassis. cool ride.
oldscool Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Great job of saving an old classic and I like the mesh grille better than the original. It would look even better with some baby moons. Just my personal opinion. gus
Sport Suburban Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Nice Job!! I have a few of these old AMT glue bomb's that I'm working on. I'm adding a sunroof to my 60! You did an amazing job straitening that one out. Does it still have it's engine?

Trip carbs and manifold from the parts box with Alcladed valve covers.

Chuck Most Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Love the Squarebird, and your custom rendition is killer! The '58-'60 style is one of my favortie designs, I'd love to have the AMT kit one of these days.
