krishna.iskandana Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Hi again guys, I just finished building this one up, a ford F150 from amt. The kit was originally a nascar supertruck car but I decided not to use most of the decals including the numbers. Instead, I applied some decals to make it look like a service truck / promotional showcar. I changed the wheels to 20" aoshima trafficstar wheels plus additional resin discbrakes, lowered the ride heights and wired the engines. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking Regards Krishna Iskandana
W-409 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Nicely done, but I'm not a fan of those wheels and tires. Otherwise really great build, with no big mistakes. Paint looks very good, and engine detailing is great. Were are those Midwest Auto Parts decals from?
Tonioseven Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I like it! It's a bit different and I like that. The colors work well together.
Patrick2005 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 The Midwest decals can be found in the 69 Firebird kit from Revell
highway Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 The Midwest decals can be found in the 69 Firebird kit from Revell Actually the Revell kit is a 68, Patrick. I wish they would tool a nice 69 TA from that kit!
Patrick2005 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Ahh thanks for the clarification, I knew it was in the general area lol
W-409 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Alright... Needs to get those decals, and now I know, where to find them. Thanks!
krishna.iskandana Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 Thanks for the comments guys, the midwest decal is indeed from Revell 68 firebird. The decals are for the drag version. Thanks Krishna Iskandana
