A local dealer had a sales event going on at the mall and they bought the car. No test drive, nothing! That Saturday morning they went to pick it up and I got the phone call.. could I come and drive their new car home? They had no idea that they bought a car with a clutch! And of course neither of them could drive it! It became a very frustrating day for me. I had to teach them to drive this car.. the wife was catching on but the husband wasn’t.. which led to tempers and... We had a 1986 Tempo 4-door with a manual transmission. Both my wife and I knew how to drive manuals so it was not an issue. Nice car, decent performance and It could get 40 MPG on the highway. Later I had an 87 2-door sport Tempo. Nice car as well. I bought it to fix and flip, although registration was a nightmare. I sold it to a friend who drove it for several years.
Modelbuilder Mark
Just picked up my new daily driver today. Stated hp is 382 at the crank, but they are dyno testing stock at 388 at the wheels, so closer to 400 at the crank.point.

Like the old days where the hp was underrated to get by the insurance companies.

keyser
Nice Mark. Fun car. Drove the twin Z, great drivetrain and chassis. Enjoy in health. BMW and Benz hot motors always underrated. They’ll make spec power/tq at sea level or 10000ft.
Eric Macleod
I just added one last month. It is my first real "capital C Classic" convertible. The car is a 1937 Cadillac Series 70 convertible sedan with a Fleetwood body. I saw the car for sale in St. Louis advertised on Craigslist. I took a gamble on it, purchasing it sight unseen but with tons of photos. Not a perfect car, it was still really nice for a car that was restored in 1963. It needs a few things before I can drive it but will be a wonderful show and go vehicle.

CabDriver
Just picked up this 2010 Civic today - not very interesting but the price was right (REALLY right, actually) and it’ll be a good reliable car for my wife. Which, in turn, means I’m now free to pick something unreliable and impractical for myself ?

Well, I wanted something like that, and my wife wanted something boring and practical, so we compromised and got what she wanted ?♂️?? In fairness, she’s an accountant, so she doesn’t need to be rolling up to people’s businesses in something that looks TOO ratty I guess ? Kruzn
Last fall we sold our Minnie Winne motorhome. Replaced it with a 5th wheel toy hauler and Dodge Ram 3500 dually. Loving the Cummins power! Perfect for towing the camper with our 2015 Indian Roadmaster trike inside.

My favorite was the 2nd, 2008-2011. I do not like the 2012 -2018 hatchback at all, the 2 previous generations I drove were sedans. I have not driven the 3rd gen sedan. I found the 3rd gen hatchback cramped and poor rear and side visibility. I do on all 3 generations like the seat height. Easy for me to get in and out of. No love for the 2012 and later automatic manual transmission. Very quirky and not smooth shifting at all. I ended up buying a 07 SES ZX4 with 129,000 on it just before Christmas last year and have been very happy with it. Not as much power as later versions but its peppy enough. 4 speed automatic with lock up torque converter, I'm getting in the low 30s with it most the time. Handles very nice. I'm very impressed with the factory stereo. It's not the premium system but with 4 6x8 speakers its sufficient. Nice ride !
