GM doesn't make a lot of work trucks in any other color, so white it is. Maybe some day I'll find a red one. I was looking for Race Red, Area 51, or Atlas Blue; but in the trim and specs I want, there was just nothing left.

espo
3 hours ago, iamsuperdan said: Finally got some pics of the new truck over the weekend. Back in March, I sold my Lightning after about 9 months of ownership. Love the truck, but with the incentives and rebates the manufacturers are throwing on EV right now, the used market is going to take a nosedive. So to get ahead of the curve, and continue my trend of never selling for less than I paid, I sold it to someone that has been looking for that particular trim level and colour. And I didn't lose any money, so that's a good thing. So I had to replace it. Lots of excellent deals to be had on remaining 2023 models, so that's what I did. 2023 F150 Lariat with the Powerboost hybrid engine. Basically an EcoBoost with a hybrid system bolted to it. I took the big ugly FX4 decals off the back. I think it looks better without. I've never really been a fan of decals or graphics. Will be removing the PowerBoost emblems, and as soon as they're readily available, the new ovals from a 2024 F150 will be going on. Window tint and a dashcam coming soon. I want to change out the wheels too, but wheel pricing has gone mental over the past few months, so that idea is on indefinite hold. Another boring white truck, but I actually like white. Plus there's nothing left anywhere in the other colours I would want. So boring white it is. I agree, this does look cleaner without all the decals. My last two trucks have been white, and they don't show the dust as much as other colors until really dirty.
Danno
Hey, Dan, Question for you, since you're an F fan and you're in the business. Recent years' F-trucks have these double stacked headlamps. My question is: Do they (the trucks) come with "off" or "dim" switches, or are they only sold with unextinguishable all-lights-on-all-the-time super high beams suitable for docking space stations in deep black hole space? It seems like 90% or more around here are always on 'stadium-lighting' mode everywhere they go -- day or night. Can they be operated with only two lamps on so the rest of us can see? Or are they only sold to blind people who need all the light they can get? [BTW- I may have expressed it humorously, but I'm serious. It's damn hard for anyone else to see when one of these is around . . . especially if they jack it up or put more than four bricks and a cinder block in the bed.] And, more than half of them run around with the extra in-the-bumper driving lights on, too! Nope. The Super Duty trucks with the base headlights like you posted have four low/high beam bulbs. So all four are on when you have low beams, and all four are on with the high beams. And the low beams are the DRL. Then let's add the foglghts on as well. And use them all the time. I get what you're saying. They're better now, as they did a redesign in 2023. I find the new design trucks a little less blinding.

Obviously some designer thought, 'Hey, this might be cool!' What model years were like that - the mobile surgery suite lighting?

Mattilacken
I just replaced my 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Feels like coming home, its my 8'th Jeep GC including one parts car and a couple that i just rebuilt and sold. The Cherokee in the background is what i drive at work, its a 2017 Cherokee that we lifted as much as possible to fit "32 tires(if i remember correct but at least "31). O and a "17 wheel can fit the 3.0 Diesel Summit. My Mamba M5 did so but with minimal clerance. have had theese weels for more than 15 yers and used them on several of my WJ jeeps. It rotates without a problem so as long as the Wheelshop put the weights in the right place i should be good, not that i will put "17 AT tires any time soon on it. I did put on my "20 275/45 Nokian Hakkapellita 7 SUV on it now, winter is coming! First snow to morrow. vamach1
I purchased this 1972 Mustang Olympic Sprint convertible back in July. It is the third one I have owned of the fifty made for the DC Cherry Blossom parade festival. When I sold the previous two I figured when the time was right I would get another and this one is in great condition. The first picture is at the recent Hotwheels show in El Segundo CA and the rest are of the 2nd one I owned.

oldcarfan
This summer my old Lexus R350 went over 220k miles. She still runs great but we wanted something with lower miles to take a road trip. We ended up with another RX350, a late model, low mileage one with some warranty left. It's a great car and we put 4800 miles on it in 2 weeks going from central Texas to the Florida Keys and back.
johnyrotten
My Gmc. I'm the second owner, original owner special ordered the truck from Kutztown cadillac in Pennsylvania. The wife and I drove over and purchased this 2.5 -3 years ago, actually got stuck there an extra day cause a snowstorm came through the east coast. It's currently at the body shop due to that drunk driver incident in the "what irked you" thread. My guy runs a small, busy, high quality shop, so I don't mind the wait for my truck. Quality of work means more.

Put 40k miles on it and it was nice inside, but the CVT always felt unsettled. A friend had a similar 2016 and the transmission went out at 65k miles just after the warranty expired. The dealer quoted $6500 to replace it. We ended up trading our Outlander for a 2019 Frontier truck and haven't regretted it.
Rob Hall
My ‘14 Grand Cherokee Limited is almost to 80k. Still looks and runs great, I can’t get enthused by the WL generation that replaced it, so I’ll be keeping it indefinitely as my winter car and for hauling stuff. My ‘19 Cadillac CT6 is almost to 60k, it’s my primary and road trip car. My ‘87 Mustang GT is at 65k and my occasional weekend fun car. I may buy a late model sports car for another fun car in the next few years.
