I occasionally find myself dreaming of what cars I'd most want if I ever became able to afford them. So I thought maybe that would be a cool topic idea to post here. What cars would be your first 3?

Mine would probably have to be a '69 Yenko Camaro, '87 Buick GNX and a '99 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

32 ford coupe with ford power and no billet---steel is where it's at

427 shelby cobra with sidepipes and halibrands smooth shiney and black on black

49-52 ford f-1 truck in hotrod gray or black primer, maybe both for the aged patina look

gonna have all 3 in 1/25 scale before the winter is up

Here are just a few of mine:

  • 1969 Trans Am 400
  • 1969 Trans Am 400 convertible, I think I read once only 6 were made in Trans Am trim
  • 1977 Trans Am 400 "Bandit"
  • 1979 Trans Am 403 10th Anniversary Edition
  • 1989 Trans Am 3.8 Liter 20th Anniversary Indy Pace Car Edition

If you couldn't tell, I have a little thing for Pontiac F-Bodies!!

Since I also love trucks, I'd buy a brand new Freightliner Coronado and a 53 foot Featherlite trailer to haul the toys around in!

My Dream garage would depend on the size of the bankroll, so let's assume I filthy stinkin' rich, like Richard Branson rich...

I'd have to have a Siata 208 S...

Hmmm....

I don't know if I could find a parcel big enough to build it on.

Well...

15-20 brass era cars.

At least one each Auburn/Cord/Duesenburg.

A Baker or Columbia electric car

A Stanley Steamer

A Locomobile

An Essex Boattail Speedster

A Lincoln Zephyr

A Studebaker Coupe Express

A wide sampling of smaller independent makes from the Pre-War era.

At least dozen woodies, mostly GM and Chrysler, with a Hudson and a Packard, too.

A good selection of Step-Down Hudsons

Some 1950s Pontiacs

At least one Imperial from 1957-'66.

A Kaiser Darrin

A sampling of 1960s full-size cars

One each of the 1959-61 compacts, preferably wagons, plus a Valiant 4-door sedan.

A 1966 Olds Tornoado

A 1963-65 Buick Riviera

Some 1970s luxo-cruisers

A nice 1981-88 Cutlass Supreme

LT-1 powered Roadmaster/Caprice wagon

A new Silverado for when I need a truck

And a 2011 Lincoln Town Car for my daily driver.

Trust me, there's more....much more.

My eyes hurt after looking at that poor Lincoln. Is that a photoshop? It has to be, the cost to make it into an convertible, make it a two door and shorten the wheelbase would cost a fortune.

My dream garage would consist of my 69 Camaro (out there right now) and a Buick GNX, A Syclone pickup and a Victory red S10 Xtreme. I would say a Lamborghini Countach but being 6'6" tall, I don't think I'd fit! I had to get down on my knees to get into a Pantera!

Assuming I could keep my current practical daily drivers, I'm pretty simple so...

a 1930s convertable, Packard, Duesenberg or Auburn Boat tail

a 1941 Chevrolet pickup

and an open cab Seagrave Anniversary Series fire engine

My Dream Garage part two...

It would have to include my dream car for family trips...a Tatra T-87

52892-vi.jpg

I would need a Front Engine Dragster for nostagia drag events...the 1964 Tognotti Speed Shop Top Fuel Dragster would do just fine...

op_fueldragster942359112275640-vi.jpg

I would love to show up to our friday night cruise in this...Jerry pennington's "Scorpion" rear engined 'Vette

dsc_8961-vi.jpg

The original is long gone so I would have to settle for the clone of The Sam Hollingsworth Nomad...

Next time GM is hard up for cash, I'd offer them big money for the Stingray racer...
