Crazy Ed
Hi there Jesse Ok 34 folks looked at your post prior to me so I guess I'll ask - What kind of help are you looking for? Assembly Instructions, if it'd be better with 4 or 6 carbs, Manual or Auto Tranny or it it'd be a good idea to stuff a mid 50's engine into a early 70's Pickup? There's lots of folks here that'd like to help. All you gotta do is let'em know what it is you need.
Greg Pugh
Hi there Jesse Ok 34 folks looked at your post prior to me so I guess I'll ask - What kind of help are you looking for? Assembly Instructions, if it'd be better with 4 or 6 carbs, Manual or Auto Tranny or it it'd be a good idea to stuff a mid 50's engine into a early 70's Pickup? There's lots of folks here that'd like to help. All you gotta do is let'em know what it is you need. This is a good point. I was wondering the same things. What is it that you're looking for? Models are models and there is no limit to your possibilities and creativity. That being said however, I personally wouldn't put a 354 Caddy in a '72 Chevy C10. A big block or small block Chevy engine or even a straight six would be more appropriate. But like I said, it's your model. You can put a WWII airplane engine in it if you'd like. So I guess I ask the same questions, what are your questions?
Jesse D
Basically, I had a pontiac 421 that I opened up and painted for the truck earlier. after I seperated all the parts, I could not figure how to get it together Even with the instructions.. I don't wanna make the same mistake with the 6 carbb cadi 354. Sorry for the vagueness I'm new to this whole website thing. I might be putting a nascar 4 speed behind it as well.or the trans from the revell 70 chevelle SS 454 Heavy Chevy. Crazy Ed
Hi again Jesse Before you give up on the Pontiac where were you having problems with the assembly? Another thought also might be to plop the 454 Heavy Chevy into the S10 as it's an engine swap more likely to have happened if that matters to ya. Jesse D
its a C10. The parts of the 421 undernieth the heads didn't fit either way I turned em it seemed and they didnt look the same as in he picure. also the valley cover undernieth the Blower didn't fit. it didn't even look like a engine part. I stripped he chrome off of mos of the parts with brake fluid and cleaned em real good before I sprayed em flat black. @gpugh1976. I'm goin for a kinda resurrected junk truck as a parts chaser and or a car hauler. the 421 with the blower would've made it a slick little sleeper but I may be puttin it in a nova instead. Jesse D
I got a turbo 350 trans for the 354 cadi. It's the trans that was on the engine that came with the truck.
