looking for a shiny limo???...NOT....rescued this from ebay and yes it was shiny...opened all the vents...slipped a viper engine in...and rat rodded the rest of the car...

Seems to me that a Viper engine would be a very odd choice for a rat rod. I thought rat rods were all about building on the cheap and making do with whatever you can scrounge up. But then again it's your model, so anything goes. :D

harry ur correct....but its not ur normal ratrod its a benz...thought it needed more then a flat head.... B)

You're a sick puppy, Neal - doing that to a Mercedes. But I actually like the thought you put into it. The door handles, gas cap, screens, horn, and I love the shift knob. Weathering is superb.

If you can make a rat rod out of a multimillon-dollar car with a human brain between the seats, a Viper engine is the least of the logical disconnects in this fun build.

I thought a roadster didn't have a roof. Mercedes rat rod is a unique ride, that's for sure!

The car was based on the 500K roadster, but enclosed cars with hardtops are, or were, referred to over there as limousines. So it was labeled as a roadster limousine on the kit box. Only 4 of this body style were built.
