Yeah, more then likely Those are NOT SHELFS at all, but sound reflection boxes, Or even some kind of mixed up Art,..But I didn't build them, So who knows....lol,...And if they are shelfs ,..

Don't see what use they would be like that...lol...lol.....Wire them off and make them in to Pet cages...THAT WOULD WORK......"Chinchillas Possably,..lol...lol, the world needs more FUR after all.

I agree these wouldn't be practical for models, but they ARE different! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.
