I have uploaded a new program for the eModelCars.com web site

It is the updated version, but I have to start from scratch.

I tried to import the users and categories, but that didn't work.

I couldn't get any help with the MySQL databases, so we'll have to start from scratch.

I will be updating the categories later today, so don't post any new items until tomorrow.

You can register today if you want to get a start.

Thanks for the patience on this.

I hope the next time this doesn't get to be such a headache.

Oh yeah, the URL is different, if your bookmark doesn't work.

It's hosted with the mag now:

http://www.modelcarsmag.com/auction

The old URL: http://www.emodelcars.com will go to a redirect, so that should work for now.

I will be changing the DNS and all that tech talk stuff this week also, the URL should be plain.

phew......

I don't know the first thing about websites but it sounds like a lot of work. Thanks for all you do for us in the name of our beloved 'hobby/obsession'!

Gregg, I signed up for the website and took a look around. I noticed that currently the currency is set to GBP and there doesn't seem to be an option to change it anywhere. Is this the final setting for the website or will it be changed to USD? I am new to Model Cars Magazine and never saw/used the old eModelCars.

Okay, what part of tomorrow is not understood?

Okay, forget this software, nothing works.

And I'm getting nowhere with the guy that sold it.

Back to square one.

Sorry all you 9 guys that registered!!!!

STOP THE PRESSES

Don't register or do anything.

I'm pulling it down again.

Okay, stop everything.

It's messed up.

Unless someone can click on the Sell button, can you go to the member area and start a new auction?

I just tried all the possible Sell or Selling links and all lead to "Page Not Found".

Also, from Member Area, clicking on Selling, or any of the options under Selling all lead to a Page Not Found page with the MCM logo etc.

Okay, there's a glitch still here.

I'm going to put it back on maintenance after Brandon collects his penny.

It doesn't return me to the auction site.

Okay, I put another test up.

It's the black Modelhaus '49 Merc.

No, you don't get it, it's just a test.

Someone please buy it now

I think it will then go to the PayPal.

The test is to see if your shipping address gets inserted into the PayPal invoice.

This is the big mod that I was trying to get done.

So you could ship the model straight from PayPal, and not having to enter it all in manually through Post Office site, or other.

Make sense?

Hopefully this will work.

man, my brain hurts.....

OK, I tried to post an auction but it says my pic is too big. I have a cheap Kodak digital camera. It is set to 1.2 MP. I think this is the smallest setting it has. I tried to pull a pic from my photobucket. Can I do this? What exactly is a URL? NEED HELP PLEASE. Thanks, Greg
