Mr Core Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I started with Revell's SLS amg few months ago. Because there is much room for improvement, I bought the Hobbydesign PE-set. The rims are some photoetchrims iIwas able to buy in discount and have the perfect size for this car. They look pretty nice but aren't exactly what you would call 'realistic' in 3D. Time for the pictures Cut out the wing and made a frontlip and diffusor
Mr Core Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 The color is pure white with some carbonfiber on the frontlip engine bay so far And pe-rims That's all for now Tips and comments are as always welcome Grtz Cor
maltsr Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 (edited) I like what you've done so far - the wheels look great. Makes me want to start on mine, I too have a PE set, so I will be following your build closely Edited January 14, 2012 by maltsr
martinfan5 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Looking good, I really enjoyed building mine, this is really a great kit. Paul are up to another Merc build off in the foregin CBP, I have the SLR Mclaren waiting for me to start it
Mirage Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I just finished doing this kit. Finished mine in Metallic Silver. Thoroughly enjoyed the build and the finished car looks great. Have fun building it, love what you have done so far.
Mr Core Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) Thank you guys. It is a pretty nice kit. Everything fits perfectly and is well detailed Paul, much of the PE-set is unnecessary in my opinion. In only use a couple of things such as the grills and stuff on the body. For the other parts, I think the plastic pieces are often more realistic than those flat pe parts Here is the finished interior Grtz Cor Edited January 23, 2012 by Mr Core
Dr. Cranky Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 This model is going to turn out sweet. Keep it going, and I can't wait to see the final color on the body.
Mr Core Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) Thank you guys Doctor: What you see is what you get The final color is white as in the pictures above The rims are painted black and the interior is in it's place. Next time, I will be able to post a finished model I'll have to redo the carbon on the lip here Cor Edited January 30, 2012 by Mr Core
