This is coming along very well... your work is very good and your references to the original clearly show in your work.... nice!!!! (Zora would have liked it!!!)

Thanks Bill!

So what do you guys do for highlighting the cut out areas of the doors, etc? Just about ready for the color coat, but want to get the doors and other areas to look more realistic.

Thanks,

Tim

Nice work so far. This kit has so many issues makes me wonder if you would have been better off starting with the Monogram kit. I'm working on two of the AMT kits also and find them very challenging. Your work on the grill convinces me yours will turn out well. Love all the photos!

see; not being a Corvette fan, i never saw the error built into the door panel tops.... i've given up on more than one AMT '53 because of the interior tub/chassis/body interference issues.... the engineers laid it out a certain way but neglected to explain WHY....

I'm curious to see if you plan to fix the Chevrolet emblem with a large V like in the photo. I want to see how/if you do. Just a little detail. Please keep it going.

I will use the kit supplied V after stripping the chrome and painting it gold. Hopefully it will work well enough. If not, I'll probably make one using some sheet and a jeweler's file.

I missed that detail in the kit, thanks for the info. Guess I need to start looking at the parts tree closer. lol This Forum is a great place to learn stuff!
