After a year of not building much, I finally finished the 1953 Alfa Romeo B.A.T. 5 resin model by Fisher that my good friend Bernard (GBK1) got for me last year.

Since this is a curbside model, there are no engine or chassis pictures. Just body shots of a really cool car that I can only imagine what people thought of when they first saw it in 1953!!

It looks really cool sitting in my display case next to my Danbury Mint 1963 Aston Martin DB-5!!

Raul,

Did you have this at NNL last week? I love this car, having seen the real thing at the 'Blackhawk Museum' in Dublin, I can tell you that you captured it beautifully! Well done!

Thanks, guys!!

Yes, Mike, this was at the NNL West.

I have several photos of the 3 B.A.T. cars from the Blackhawk Museum. My favorite is B.A.T. 7. That's the one where the wings almost touch in the back.

great job, was great to see it at the NNL West

Bernard wants me to build a bigger salt flat/lake racer diorama base for next year...

so we can display your Lincoln V-12 with ours, hee-hee!

Actually, 2012...I didn't finish this one until the Thursday evening before the NNL West show...

Yes...build a bigger base. I "should" have the lakes racer done by next February :)

I thought that this was the car when I saw the title . I had no idea someone had ever kitted this subject . Fine workmanship ! Ed Shaver

Thanks, guys!

Yes, by 1953s standards, this thing must have looked like something from outer space!!

If you're interested in one of these kits, they are made from really nice resin with virtually no pinholes. Everything fit and went together very well.

All of the window molding lines are crisp, needing no special atttention or preparation for BMF.

There are plenty of reference photos on the internet to build a nice curb-side model.
