BHarrison Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Just finished this one today and I am moving it to this section from the Workbench section. Its a 1959 Buick LeSabre resin kit by Promolite. Its Fawn Metallic basecoat/clearcoat with Matching gold tones inside. It has MV Lenses, Pegasus wheels, Tons of Bare Metal Foil and the mods necessary to get the wheels under it. Other than that its pretty much as it came from Promolite. Thanks for looking!
fanofratfink Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 That is really nice looking. You have to like those big old Buicks with all the chrome and fins
Dr. Cranky Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Boy, that's a BEAUTY! Great job, thanks for sharing the eye candy with us.
crazyjim Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Great looking SHINY :) build. Those Pegasus T's look right at home.
montelsc Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 The old rides define the word COOOOL!!!!!!! nice build
Dragline Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Wowzers that has MAJOR eyeball appeal! Great color choice. Classy. Bob
Dominik Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Nice! Rare kit and a very beautiful result!
Kodiak Island Modeler Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 That looks beautiful. It inspires me to get my Dad's old 59 Buick model out and rebuild it.
Sam Cates Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Yet another instance where I drool like Homer, that looks AMAZING! I love that bosy style and the paint looks excellent! Wheels look really nice tucked under it as well.
BHarrison Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Thanks for all the comments guys. I wanted the car to have the look of the 1:1 airbagged cars we see at Goodguys and NSRA shows. The big body GM cars are really popular right now for doing a stock ride just airbagged with big inch wheels.
Sixties Sam Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 It's a beauty! I'm not a fan of big wheels and thin tires, but those look just right on this Buick. Nice work! Sam
catpack68 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 very nice work bryan!!! the stance and colors are perfect.i hope to see this one in person at some shows this year
Danno Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Sweeeeeeeeet!! - I'm Danno and I approved this emoticon.
Guest Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 She's a beauty, even if it's not factory stock
espo Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 That is nice. How hard was the kit to work with? I've always strugeled with most resin bodies, but i would like to try this one.
