Got this 59 Ford Long roof from a fellow club member..(thanks Rick)

I've never worked on a resin body and so far so good.

The wagon is going to be a staff car for the Joker Crew.

Got two 59 Galaxies for parts and a set of 5 spokes from a 70 Chevy

with thin white wall decals from one of our own members here (thanks Darrel).

Opened up the rear window added weather stripping and extended

the rear upper lite pods, the red lenses will be replaced with clear ones.

Removed the badgess (best bandito accent..LOL) and the scripts.

Need to find better door handles ..to be reinstalled "Lincoln" style.

Built up the cargo area and it will hold suitcases, coolers etc etc.

The hood will remain closed but an engine will be installed anyway.

Ed..like I mentioned earlier.

got 2 59 Galaxies ..

But I do need two square mirrors for the outside.

I can use the clear bullets that are in my 57 Fairlane for the extended upper lite pods.

Tuck and roll cargo area..extended inner wheel covers for tire clearance

also added "arm pads" to the top of the wheel wells

That's some real nice cutting on the rear lift gate.Sometimes resin doesn't like being delicately cut. Anyone know what base was used for the Flintstone '59 wagon?

painted a silver base and it's taking a while to dry.

meanwhile I've built a luggage rack.

Going for a two tone white and purple people hauler

with a tow hitch, made aluminium lakers and pegged the

door handles "Lincoln Continental" style

the luggage was red plastic from my stash.

I'm willing to bet that Jimmy used a Product Miniatures Company '59 Country Sedan as the master for this casting. PMC did a promo of that wagon in '59, and a year or so later, shot the thing in styrene, packaging them up in polybags for the supermarket trade.

I've had a Revell 1959 Galaxie for years... since I was a teen at least back in the early nineties.

So when you add my love of all things wagon, the natural course of action here was to immediately go purchase a resin wagon body from Flintstone. So in a way I need to blame your build here for this most impulsive purchase.

Well, that and Whipper Snapper. <_<

Keep up the good work. I'll be following in your foot steps here. Those wide five-spokes are perfect so whatever I build at this point will have to use the same. :D

Had I not blown my current wad o' cash on 4 new kits I would have done just that  (and I too was a late teen in the early 90's,graduatted HS in '91,LOL,small world :P ).

Does any one know if Bob Swartz in Savannah, Mo is still in operation??

I know he offered the Resin 59 Ford Country Sedan at one time, along with the twin Ranchero.

He used My Toy versions of Both for Masters!!!

I had a few of each at one time.

Ok if I show these here??

Yes I am using Revell's Skyliner for chassis, etc.

(AMT's 59 Ford was the ONLY one to actually replicate a GALAXIE!!

Revell has Mistakenly called their FAIRLANE 500 Skyliner a Galaxie since the First "Skip's" issue.

Look at the Rear Fender Script On the Multi-piece Rev body. "FAIRLANE 500"!

The Recent Rev-Of Germany 50th Anniversary kit corrected the name error, but Rev-US's re-issue

in the same Reprint box-art continues the error.

I have EVERY Box except the Current US issue, so I Do Know my Facts here!!!!

Look on this page of my 59 Fords album:

http://s145.photobuc...!cpZZ2QQtppZZ16

There are 3 of the Revell Skyliners here. The Yellow is my First, a 74 issue partially restored.

The Turq. is a Built of the same issue & repainted the White of the body.

The third is an Orignal Skip's issue getting the Deluxe build. Doors, Steering, Continental Kit, etc

And, Yes, I have Both an Original AMT Sunliner Convert, & Jr. Trophy Hardtop GALAXIE.

(Yes you are seeing 2 59 EDSEL Villager Wagons in the mix there!!!)

Think I Like Wagons??
