OK... NOW I see the pictures!

Great job Rommel. Having watched this go together from start to finish was a treat. Incredibly talented you are! Take a break and charge your batteries. Looking forward to the Camaro build.

BTW: Diecast? Wow.... that was uncalled for Dude. You just pee'd in the punch bowl at this party.th_nono.gif

I don't see how you can boast it's "100% scratchbuilt" when the body and fifteen packages of resin-cast parts from Flashpoint were used, not to mention the wheels and tires weren't made by you either. I guess "scratchbuilt" has a very different meaning to you...

There are a lot of nice details and you certainly did a fine job scratchbuilding the chassis from brass tube and rod, but little details such as the tail lights, the crooked engine, and the misaligned header tips, really stand out against all of the other work.

Yeah the die cast comment was rude. Sorry about that. But just the same It looks like a huge amount of work for a VERY unrealistic looking car. Too bad really. The paint and detailing are far superior to my building ( You say you would like to see some of my builds, seems a MOD would be able to search and find all my posts??) but just the same the final result looks like a toy not a real race car. You have a lot of talent but you missed on this one. I just didn't feel like blowing smoke up your fanny...

I will add that part of the problem with for me not liking this one is that personally I am really tired of Pro Mod builds, They have been done to death and they are misshapen ugly door slammer funny cars with the same blob shape and painted on grills and lights. If I am allowed to voice my true opinion that is...

WOW, Here It Is!!! Great job with it, turned out awesome. This might be the best build, I've seen for a while. I have to disagree with Mitch, since it looks like realistic to me- I guess that's how 1:1 Dodge Daytona/Superbird Pro Mods look. But GREAT build overall, detailing is simply amazing and paintjob turned out perfect. Pictures look very good too, the car looks like 1:1 on them.

All parts of this build were scratch built , now weather thay were scartch built by me or someone else is a different story. I started out with a bunch of parts purchased from flash point true enough , but how many were actually used?? not many there are no kit parts on this build period. the wheels were turned by jim (scratch built and purchased) the parts from flash point were poured by my friend Terry (scratch built and purchased) and every other part on this build was made by my hands (scartch built) thats how i can claim that this build is 100% scratch built. Stop hatin man !

Dude your comments mean absolutely nothing to me, if you dont like my builds why keep comming back other than to start something. I could care less if you like ProMod builds , I love em.... so why dont you just go look at something you do like (doll houses maybe) hopefully you'll be more apt to say something worth while. Stop hatin! if you have anything more to say to me PM me I'll give you my phone number and we can discuss it like men!

Every single resin part is not scratchbuilt, but rather copies of the master parts...but you already know this, Romell. I think you're splitting hairs by claiming it's 100% scratchbuilt, but if buying and using pre-made parts on a build still makes the build fall under the "100% scratchbuilt" category for you, so be it. You have every right to be proud of what you've built, but the wheels, tires, body and engine are the most visible parts of this build, and you created none of them with your own hands.

You cant please everyone plain and simple . Theres always going to be haters and someone that feels the need to run the mouth over the internet. The way i see it is 98% of people seem to really like this build and can apperciate the work that went into it . Me being one of the guys. Its the work that you have done in the past and present that make me want to learn more about scratch building and take building to another level. Im sure there are some flaws here and there but who really cares its a model and not a real car. For his first time building a build from mostly brass and other metals it turned out awesome . another great build rom keep on doing what your doing .

I loved watching the build. I think its a great looking car. I think the critics should shut up. It wasn't built for them or their liking. It was your build. As long as your happy, THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.

And i am HAPPY!!! Thanks Kris for your input.

Romell, as a mod, do you think it wise to show this much attitude and contempt for fellow modelers who happen to see the flaws in the finished product? Do you really want to get better or just run the dog-and-pony show? And to the guys who 'Hate the haters'......that is all you. If you can't handle constructive criticism or those who aren't in it just for the praise, perhaps it is better you don't show your work. I do, and welcome criticism (why, because it helps me get better). A simple search of my forum name will bring up what I build. Is it perfect, not by a long shot and I know and accept that. Time for others to do the same in a less-than-standoffish manner.

Aside from your skills as builder which always amaze me, I think your picture taking skills are improving. I noticed it immediately. When I first saw the car My first thought was John Teresi did another one. His photos are very realistic. How's the 1:1 Chevelle doing ?

WOW... Rom I just cam back to look at these pics again... the outside pics are fabulous.... I was'nt going to say anything.. but I can't believe the comments of a few on here.... Alot of times it's not what you say, it's the way it's said... who cares if the driver can't see over the hood, or if the header tubes are not all perfect... I've seen headers like that on real cars for that matter. All in all I'ts a great looking build that for a FIRST crack at building a chassis and all the other stuff, you did a Hell of a job bro.....
