Dr. Cranky Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 FANTASTIC. You are creating some STANDOUT machines. Great work. Keep 'em coming.
Dr. Cranky Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Ron, one more thing, is there a photo archive we can go to in order to view ALL your builds?
bbowser Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Not my cup of tea but great build nonetheless. I love the engine details and the weathering.
cruz Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I don't have to remind you how much I love your work my friend, this is just awesome, really cool model even if it's something one does not build!
peter31a Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Isn't that just the ratiest thing I've ever seen? Of course I mean that in the nicest possible of ways. Love all the detail in this build as well as the weathering. Job well done sir.
Grumpa Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 This is one wicked rat-rod. There's a rod builder down in Thomasville, NC who builds some really cool looking rat-rods. I saw three of them at a Thursday night get together of hot-rods that has been going on for something like twenty-years in High Point, NC last year. Anyway, if yours was all black, and in the right setting. I would swear that it was 1 to 1 scale. Great work! Really cool!
Kaleb Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 True style, it looks great I've been wanting to build a rat truck, not that detailed tho.
Chuck Most Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Love it. Source of that grille... please, do tell!
Jairus Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Very nice! Good pictures too, but please lose the campy rats and skull on the aircleaner. What you have is greater with-out them.
ChrisR Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 (edited) Nice rat rod! Edited April 8, 2012 by ChrisR
Austin T Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I like it,Is the bush bumper sticker a chimneyville decal?
Olds Rocket 88 Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 Yes on the chimneyville decal The grill I cut off of a 1936 Dodge die cast truck I found in an Ace hardware store. Sorry Cranky, no photo archive... I need to work on that I guess Thanks for the nice comments !!!
Olds Rocket 88 Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks Adam, it was a fun build........
Harry P. Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Very nice! Good pictures too, but please lose the campy rats and skull on the aircleaner. What you have is greater with-out them. I agree. Very cool model, but the rats and especially that skull have to go. They take away from the model and make it look too toy-like.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks, Ron, and yes, I think with the caliber of all your builds, you need to have a place where your fans can go and pour over all your work. Just something to consider.
