Dave Van Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Coming soon from the great folks at Model King and Moebius Models is another great stock car legend racer!! We are finalizing the decals and boxart for the Marshall Teague 1953 Hudson Hornet. Due later this year, as soon as we have a firm ETA we will post the info. The painting for this box was done by noted automotive artist Dan McCrary. The decal art and box graphics were done by myself. I will post decals and built prototype model as soon as they are complete. PS....stay tuned.....we have more news soon!!! Thanks!!
Chuck Kourouklis Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Awesome! I was wondering when we might see this one...
bbowser Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Very nice. I'm liking what Moebius is doing, getting all the mileage they can out of that great tool. Here's hoping they're successful enough to keep it going!
W-409 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Is this going to be another Limited Production kit? It looks cool, this is the version, what comes in my mind, when talking about Hudson Hornet.
Dave Van Posted April 12, 2012 Author Posted April 12, 2012 Limited edition of 3000 kits.....we will send info soon to dealers.....they will take pre-orders. Thanks
Jon Cole Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 My LHS needs an item # to pre order. Hope that info will be posted when available!
charlie8575 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I have no interest in this version myself, but I love the box-art. I like that Moebius is making an effort to make attractive, creative packaging art. It sets a good example for the rest of the industry. Charlie Larkin
Junkman Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 How about another slight re-tool into a four door?
Chuck Most Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 How about another slight re-tool into a four door? Motor City Resin Casters already makes just what you need for that.
Junkman Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Motor City Resin Casters already makes just what you need for that. Forty hard earned greenbacks on top of the kit price. I'd prefer them tooling it.
Jon Cole Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Forty hard earned greenbacks on top of the kit price. I'd prefer them tooling it. Agreed.
Dr. Cranky Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Hope they keep bringing out more wonderful models, and variations.
Dave Van Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Come see us at NJ NNL this weekend. We will have prototype boxes and models to show. Thanks!!!
cortinanut Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Great choice of cover artist--Dan is one classy guy who packs a ton of talent.
Dave Van Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 I've known Dan since he raced Alfa's!! I hope we get to work more often.
Junkman Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 So a new box art and a different decal sheet gets hyped as a new kit?
