Thanks guys, it was a fun build. Brizio the colour is new from Humbrol, in their Multi-Effect spray can range, it's Gold! Their Multi-Effect means Pearl, so it changes colour as you walk round it in the sunshine, and it was very sunny here yesterday when I took the pics. (It's pouring with rain today!) The only change I made was to scratchbuild a road muffler from alloy and plastic tube.

Geoff I'm about to order another today, and perhaps put in a Corvair turbo motor with lowered front end with big and little wheels (like road drag).

Glad to see one of these show up here Patrick, yours turned out nice. I've got to get one. I remember really wanting a 1:1 version back in 1970. A local guy built them at a Sunoco station where I hung out. I remember how the chassis had to be shortened to work. I would have traded my '69 Nova for one if I had a safe place to put the buggy away at night.

I also saw them built here in the UK under licence in the early 70's, I was running my second beetle at the time, but already had a family so it wouldn't have been a practical option. I later though built other kit cars over 5 years but not VW based ones. Oh yes I've just got a second one in the post about an hour ago. Now how shall we build this one?
