SteveG Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 The build was inspired by a 69 Hemi Dart that cruises my area every summer. Modifications include swapping the Automatic from the stock 440 engine, adding a scratchbuilt Hurst Pro-matic shifter. I also mini-tubbed the rear fender wells and narrowed the rear axle so the parts box slicks would fit inside the Quarter panels. The Torq Thrust wheels were kit bashed too. If you missed any of the build up photos you can check it out in the On the Workbench section, just follow the link. http://www.modelcars...l=&fromsearch=1 Thanks for looking ..... -Steve

mr moto Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Beautiful work!!! That has what I call "the Look". Can't define it but that has it. The engine detail is some of the most realistic I've seen. Excellent attention to detail everywhere.
Burnout Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Man, that looks great! Really nice job. Can I ask, are the velocity stacks on the carbs from the kit or from some other source? Thanks, KB

SteveG Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 Man, that looks great! Really nice job. Can I ask, are the velocity stacks on the carbs from the kit or from some other source? Thanks, KB The velocity stacks are from the kit with just a wash of acrylic black paint added to the centers. Thanks so much for all the compliments !!! Steve
