Ken Kitchen Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 This is another older build. I based it on a review of the real truck in Collectible Automobile. I used the Beverly Hillbillies truck as the starting point with a lot of scratchbuilding. Here's the mockup. You can see the image of the real truck in the background. Here are the major components prior to final assembly. And the final in my showroom.
Guest Davkin Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 That is some great work Ken! I do like the really old trucks. How many of the parts in that AMT kit were really that good? Are many of them useful doing other trucks of that era? I might try to pick up a few of those if the parts are really worth while. David
ismaelg Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 That is a very cool truck! Nice job. Art has been working on something somewhat related (1920 Olds 1 ton truck I think) for a while now. Thanks,
Billy Kingsley Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Way cool, Ken! I love vehicles from that era.
BIGTRUCK Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Thats pretty cool Ken......that wood looks awesome...that Beverly Hillbillies truck brought out some nice builds..
Moon Pie Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 You can see the image of the real truck in the background. WOW!! I'd say you nailed it dead on! Very nice job.
MonoPed Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Nice work on a subject not seen very often, if at all!
