i use bright touch automotive primer, cheap and covers very well, can find it at almost all parts stores that sell spray paint. can get it in gray, black, and red.

Just a quick google search to find place's to buy it, the cans of primer are selling for $10 and up .

Looks like no smuggling is required to get in the states
