mustangmodeler Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 My new proyect............a very strange el camino....a roadster!!!! .i started with some cuts and this are some pics............
TooOld Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Interesting idea , and it would look pretty sharp , but I'm not to sure about that tonneau cover thing .
Skydime Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) Lookin good but, I'd definitely make a scale version of a fiberglass bed tarp for the rest of the bed...perhaps incorporate what you have there into it. Edited August 29, 2012 by Skydime
mustangmodeler Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 Thank you skydime thats just the idea.....
Mike Kucaba Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Roadster pickups were all the rage in modeling 10 years back. I still think they're cool and the more unusual the better most times. You could make the bed cover and the piece you show look like one piece, but have them have the appearance of opening independently.
tooltas Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 look at the chevy sst roadster truck an look how that looks top up and down
mustangmodeler Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 SOME ADVANCES WITH THIS SUPER EL CAMINO!!!!
JasonFL Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Cool concept, will look good when it's finished. The bed cover and seats backing is really coming together, I wasn't sure about that in the beginning. Keep it going
Steven Zimmerman Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Great ides. My only suggestion would be to'countersink' the tonneau cover flush with the rest of your body work, it interrupts the flow of your work ( understanding this is just an opinion...)...Still, all in all,a good idea....'Z'
mustangmodeler Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 trank you Z......... a lot of details are coming.....
jcbigpaw Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Neat idea. Curious to see how this comes out
vwrabbit Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Thanks for the inspiration! Have one that had a squished roof (a and b pillars bent). Can't wait to see it together. Tim
