lanesteele240 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) I had an idea to build a Halloween car. My idea was to make a car that the booger man might drive. I started with the Revell 55 chevy pro street and a old star wars pod racer. I cut and hacked together two of the pods jets to make one jet that was the lenght of the car. Then i tubbed out the tubs to make room for the jet. Had to cut out the trunk and transmission tunnel. I am going to flat black every thing and do a full monty carbon wrap on the outside. I may put red leds in the jet to give it that spooky look. May also put red leds in the headlights. So. What do you think a good name for this should be? Edited October 10, 2012 by lanesteele240
bryan_m Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 thats wild! very cool.........i would say go with wraith, just my two cents. cheers bryan
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 The Wraith's Wrath. Yes! Can't wait to see more of this one.
lanesteele240 Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Got the simi gloss on the body in prep for the carbon fiber. Painted the jet with stainless metalizer. Washed it with black and hit the tubes with some gold leaf. All that was toned down with some titanium metalizer. Got a few more tubes and dodads to add on.

Daf57 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Cool idea! Love the imagination! Reminds me of the old urban myth/Darwin Award story about the guy, the car and the JATO! LOL! http://www.darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin1995-04.html
bryan_m Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 that looks so cool! great idea and imagination! cheers bryan

severin681 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Carbon detail looks great. Looks like it was super tedious. Looking forward to more.
lanesteele240 Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 I just could not leave the kit decals off the model. I love decals. They are my favorite part of doing a model. It does take away from the theam a bit though.
cobraman Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Nice work ! Is there room for a driver in there ?
rustybill1960 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) I like it! Nice engine too! Thank You for sharing Later Russ Edited October 24, 2012 by rustybill1960
crazyrichard Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 thats soooo cool personally i would have loved the flat black with those decals better but thats just taste , pretty cool job on the cf decalling , i know it bends well when heated but on this scale it must be a challenge
lanesteele240 Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 Not much room for any interior items. I have to cut the seat down to get it in there. The roll cage of this kit was a challenge. Especially since i cut many of the locators off making room for the jet.
cobraman Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Very different and as I have said many times................. I like different !
