Are you asking for the "best" aerosol clear that you an remove and shoot through an AirBrush?

Or,

Are you asking about 2 part Urethane Clears?

Either way people are going to respond with their own favorite brands.

Another question that can be posed here for a proper answer would be this; What sort of base are you going to be using it over? Laquers? Enamels? Acrylics? Each wil react differently to whatever is put on top of them.

Bill I think if we can get the first question answered (about Aerosols or Urethanes) then Lacquers, Enamels and Acrylics can fall in line.

People may not realize that unless you stick with one specific system, i.e., Waterbased, Acrylics, Enamels, Lacquers, Urethanes, etc., then there is no ONE Clear that is best for them, except for Urethane which can go over anything.

So, It's important to ask if this person is looking for Aerosol Clears that can be easily transferred to his AirBrush, or, is he interested in mixing his own paints.

Well that leaves out Urethanes, unless you want to remove it from $20 2/part aerosol cans.

I don't use anything but House Of Kolor Urethane Clear so I'll leave the acrylics to someone who uses them.

Any auto store sells Dupli Color. They have a small quart can with lid of lacquer clear...25 bucks....will last a very long time...you could probqbly clear 50 cars if not more. I even use it over acrylics just fine...be sure to do many light mist coats.

Thanks Doug for the tip on the clear.I think I will call the local parts stores tomorrow and see who has the best price on it.

Just FYI, it tends to dry a little hazy sometimes but nothing some polishing doesnt cure. I have price shopped the stuff and it seems to be the same price everywhere. Walmart might be a dollar cheaper.
