FAST model contest pics

The Florida Auto & Scale Tucks model club held their first model contest on October 27, 2012 in conjunction with the Ocala Pumpkin Run. We all had a great time and met some new modelers that might be coming to our next meeting. We also did a Make-n-Take that introduced 28 kids to our hobby.

Looks great Jim. Sorry I missed it. Did the wind give you much problem?

Wind was an issue Friday until they put up the tent sides. That was a display day and nothing was damaged. Contest time Saturday was just breezy. All in all, FAST is very happy with the turnout for our first contest.

The wind was not too bad on saturday...at least it kept the temperature down and the bugs away.

I believe a good time was had by all who attended. And the foot traffic that stopped by seemed to have all sorts of questions for us...it was great.

The make and take was packed the entire time it was going on.

Here's to hoping that we inspired a few people to build.

I'm ready for next year.

We had the contest on Sat. but it was a 3 day gig so here's a few random eye candy shots of the display FAST set-up for Fri. & Sun.
