Brianl Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 This is my most modified kit so far. Loved the Daytona since it first came out but was really disappointed with the kit so it got fixed!! Front wheel arches & axles were moved forward to reduce the bulk at the nose. The guards were widened a bit too. The roof has been dropped at the front with new A pillars & an extended rear deck added. Half the reason I wanted to build the kit was the nose & wing but with the extended tail , the wing didn't work... weird. Underneath is a cut down Nascar chassis, cage & suspension. It was fun squeezing a 1/24th chassis under a cut down 1/25 shell Power plant is the gas turbine out of the old Lotus Indy car. Added some detailing, an intake screen & the biggest exhaust I could jamb in there. Being jet powered the paint scheme was a no brainer. Pretty happy with the way it turned out Brian
