Finally found one of these GMC cabs. This is going to become a fire truck from my boyhood days. Just need to find a good chassis/engine donor.

The American Lafrance pumper kit might be the best bet for a donor chassis? or even the gmc titan would be abother option

Surprised to get this lot off eBay for the opening bid of $60.00.  Comes out to $10.00 for each.  They all date to 1966-68 original release period.  For some, the young builder was kind enough to include in his decal applications the kit names and numbers from the sheets!  Others can be dated by the plastic color and the design of the tires and rims.

I am particularly excited to get the original “Blue Beetle” by Monogram.  From additional auction listing photos, I can see all the accessories that came in the kit are present!  A rare find.  I also like the “Snake Eyes” ‘32 Ford roadster.  We have:IMG_0545.jpeg.b073ecf8195c7b6ee41f3ff8d51b7e9f.jpeg

Monogram “Blue Beetle” (PC93-1967)

Monogram “Red Baron” (PC205-1967?)

Monogram “Boot Hill Express” (PC188-1967)

Monogram “Beer Wagon” (PC189-1967)

AMT “Snake Eyes” (#2132-1966)

Monogram “Garbage Truck” (PC206-1967?)

1/25 scale 3D printed by Andy Lesiak.  Quality is very high.  Combine some parts from the AMT 72 plus a BBC (or LSX) and Voila!!

What a great haul and a good price too. What are your plans for these? I can see many hours of entertainment whatever you decide.

theres a free kit file that has a pro touring chassis and supercharged ls for these. the body in the file is a bit thin but the chassis is very nice and comes with various options. I think its under chevy dually on cults. its a mukti coloured crew cab long bed on the first pic but the options include a crew cab conversion and lots of other parts. the designers name is escaping me just now though

Wow that looks good! I wish we could get that level and type of kits here in the UK!

Found this RC '67 El Camino at Walmart of all places. Looked a little small to me, but hey, it's a '67 El Camino, so it followed me home.

Turns out it's not bad at all. I reviewed Jada's 1/24 diecast '67 Elky here not too long ago, which was right on the money for dimensions. This one is as wide as the 1/24 diecast, but the body's been shortened slightly, apparently to fit a standard RC chassis. Pretty cool, and it runs great, too!

For the time being, I may just try to repair or re-glue the parts.  There is a part of me that wants to leave them alone and preserve them as original builds, much like doing a “rustoration” on a real car.  Since all these kits exist as repops, I may build copies and feature them together.  I did see an original box and set of instructions for the “Blue Beetle.”  I might get them to display with this build.

Not a model but I think they're neat and thought someone else might too. I collect single pack Hot Wheels, I don't get the five packs because I haven't found any that I like all five. But Hot Wheels has four crushed car castings which aren't available in a single pack. They come paired with a monster truck and I have a few, but I discovered they also come in some five packs and found this one. I still don't like all five but had to have the two crushed cars and I also have a lot of the Cruise Bruiser (wagon). So three out of five ain't bad. The second shot shows the van casting better since it's a single color from one of the monster truck packages. 20231216_120731.thumb.jpg.8e97dc4c65987dbf223f323fa699fa15.jpg20231216_120856.jpg.ee94f9a9f3eb2625e771d003099fe679.jpg

Did a little horse trading with a friend today, he got those a part of a bulk deal and had zero interest in them, so I had some stuff more of his style so a deal was struck. I’m sure I will possibly end up trading the dart away.

Well there ya go! You won't even need to paint this kit, just some Snake-Fu detailing! ;)
