Got these 2 jeep j10 kits. One is going to be box stock and the other is going to be a racetruck inspired by my sons hot wheel jeep j10. The snowmobile i think I am going to let him build in a few years from now.

Picked up another kit I missed out on my youth. Yes I am aware of the body being a Charger 500 and other discrepancies, - I purchased it because it is unbuilt, and for the "box art" and it was affordable.

Although I need to build a "General Lee" as my lovely wife bought this set of figures for me for Christmas!

Did the MPC or AMT version get corrected? What year of production?

The Round 2 General Lee kits have the recessed rear window.  All issues by MPC, Ertl, and RC2 have the flush rear glass.

They stopped reissuing it as the DoH kit, but it's been reissued at least once since then without the TV show tie-in.

So, here's what happened... I was attending an 8 hour online trade conference for work. My mind soon drifted towards model cars (as it is apt to do), so I opened up a second tab and cruised over to HobbyLink Japan to check availability of a kit. Slipping into the rabbit hole of HJL's catalogue, I cruised 400 of the 572 pages that pop up when you search "1/24 scale cars", looking for bargains. At the end of the 8 hr conference I checked my shopping cart, to find it overflowing with 27 kits. Sanity (somewhat) prevailed, some got tossed back, and I hit 'ENTER'.
This is what arrived my door today.

I like EVERYTHING you bought. Jealousy is frowned upon, correct? LOL

This would certainly make an awesome upgrade to the Tamiya kit!

Where does one find Missing Link products? I'm not finding missing link when I search. all I find is an E-ay store with very limited product selection.

To be honest, I don't know. I was contacted because I had indicated interest in the thread that I linked in my last post.

You have a PM.

Cheers Bill. The best part is the prices. In Canadian dollars, the Aoshima kits were $21 and most of the Hasegawa kits were $28. The most expensive kit of the lot is under $35. Spreading the shipping costs over the entire order comes to about $8 per unit, and customs & duty fees are another $3.60 per unit. Anyone who knows what this stuff costs in a Canadian LHS can see that these are pretty good prices, some of them roughly half of local costs.

This 60s 57 Ranchero arrived in the mail today, the rear bumper is off but came with it and built with no engine and the hood glued shut and hope I can get it open.  I just happen to have two correct engines that I am going to build one out of and hopefully can get it installed.

I always liked this kit. Built one when I was a kid, probably when this issue was current. Loved the turquoise green plastic! I eventually (when I was still a kid) painted the body panels different colors to represent junk yard replacements. I no longer have that model but I do have what I believe is the last issue with the unchopped top (though Directory of Model Car Kits lists it as the first chopped version). It’s unbuilt and molded in blue.

Box arrived from HobbyEasy today containing a re-release of the Alpha Model Porsche 911 Carrera (or as I've been calling it "the regular 911" with all of the various GT3/GT3RS options floating around). This had previously sold out awhile back, but they've run off another 100pcs. Also included is the Fat Frog Scale Model (HobbyEasy house 3D printing brand) Magnesium Forged Rims for the Tamiya 911 GT3RS.
