So, here's what happened... I was attending an 8 hour online trade conference for work. My mind soon drifted towards model cars (as it is apt to do), so I opened up a second tab and cruised over to HobbyLink Japan to check availability of a kit. Slipping into the rabbit hole of HJL's catalogue, I cruised 400 of the 572 pages that pop up when you search "1/24 scale cars", looking for bargains. At the end of the 8 hr conference I checked my shopping cart, to find it overflowing with 27 kits. Sanity (somewhat) prevailed, some got tossed back, and I hit 'ENTER'.
This is what arrived my door today.

And, the '72 Montego from Missing Link arrived just the day before.

Got these resin bodies today from the same German ebayer as last time: 1953 Lancia D24 Spider and 1971 Porsche 908/3 Spider:

This 60s 57 Ranchero arrived in the mail today, the rear bumper is off but came with it and built with no engine and the hood glued shut and hope I can get it open.  I just happen to have two correct engines that I am going to build one out of and hopefully can get it installed.

This is a great find. All I have been able to find has been the chopped roof reissues. I gave up looking several years ago anyway.

I need to stop checking Michael's coupons. I didn't get the tax break, but at least it was taxed at the 40% off price. I know nothing about Corvettes, though I know this is a repop with new box art.

Just a few old standbys, too cheap to pass up...

The Fords are obviously the fairly recent repops of kits that went away for some reason, and it'll be interesting to do a close comparison with the originals I have.

As for the Pontiac, I have several other '61s as kits and builtups, but I didn't have this one.

I had delivered the Revell version of the E-Type Jaguar, after various problems with the two halves of the Heller version not being compatible, the top of the body much wider than the bottom half. This is to complete the rat version recently on TV here in the UK.

Cool! I just ordered from Hobby World USA. It just seemed easier! Glad I saw the post.

Got this to use with my rotary tool. I haven’t used it yet though. I hope to be able to do some light milling on styrene and brass with it.

Got this the other day, 3d printed '59 Suburban. It's a nice printing, but the scale is definitely smaller than 1/25, which is how it was advertised.

Not really a model but it will be. I got this from the same friend (Bill, my dads friend) that gave me that box of models last week. It's funny, this was mine when I was a kid. I got it new in 78 and had it until my parents moved in 1990. I gave it to Bill back then knowing he collected Hess trucks. Now he's getting rid of a lot of his stuff and stopped by to return it. I asked if he was sure about giving it back because I'll probably just end up cutting it up and making something else out of it. He just laughed and said it's yours again, do whatever you want with it.

The former Aromic City Swap Meet has been rescued by one of the vendors.  First show at the new location was yesterday.  Already have the Revell Bora, but they turn out nice in the right color and detailed.  Couldn't pass on the Mercedez G4 either.  The F150 crew cab was a nice surprise.

Nice haul.  I built the Bora as a kid.  Is that a Lamborghini Cheetah up at the top right?

Nice finds! I've had the Cheetah on my watch list for ages but they always sell for too much!
