Toy and model and diecast show at Serb Hall in Milwaukee today. I got a Louisville Ford truck kit and a small Lindberg Mini Lindy Ford box truck with garage kit that was sealed. Opened that to see the Ford as well as the body and chassis for a Chevy Van that they sold in the series. I figured I would build the garage and have the van rusted on blocks next to it in a diarama entitled "How to get a call from the HOA".

Got this yesterday at the 2020 NNL North show in Bloomington Minnesota.

A light turnout this year with about half the number of models on display as a normal , "Non-COVID" year.

I didn't manage a "Peoples Choice" plaque this year, but I was honored to receive the "Sizzlin' Sixties" award, one of only three "special awards" offered this year.

Thank you folks! :)

You will notice that the trophy was slightly botched with an additional N in NNL. :D

I was told to consider it the "November Nameless National Luminarys".

I've got the last Scale Auto Contest  Cars 2020 that they have produced. I shall miss that each year!

Found these both stuffed in the Ford van box, in a small town toy shop. Didn't need either, but for $2....

Also hit an Ollie's on my way home, found several semi kits and fire pumpers.

I stopped by my Buddy's house last night to take him a kit he wanted and to get him to cut down my aluminum sleeves for my GTX build. Although I didn't want or need anything, as always, I was told to dig through his boxes and I walked away with all of this! What a Buddy!

Aurora custom grills (w/ cool little plaques)

Resin chopped 27

Resin flathead valve covers and chopped 32 grill and customized hood

Suspension parts

Detail Masters Honeycomb Grill

Various tires and wheels

Recently got MPC's original issue 1969 Barracuda with the slant six from Ebay. Also won an auction on ShopGoodwill for a parts lot that included a ton of old tires and wheels and a nearly complete (but painted and taken apart) Monogram Uncertain T.

Nice score on the Uncertain T. Those go for good $ in almost any condition. I got one a couple years back that was built but falling apart and missing the back of the cab. Paid $2.

Sorry we were unable to attend from Winnipeg and bring our award down..I'am sure you would have continued the winning by the look of your Oldsmobile on the NNL North site..Hoping border is open next year and we are able to make it down..

Maybe they added the extra N to avoid paying the NNL royalties?  ? Just kidding!  One of the big worries of running a show is errors on your printing order!

Thanks Wayne!

It was very uncharacteristically quiet without all of you this year!

I actually expected the Olds to get more attention than the Plymouth, but then again, I need to take into consideration that we didn't arrive at the show until after 12 noon, cutting down on the time it was available for viewing.

Plus, the fact that the Olds was displayed on a crowded table and the Plymouth was pretty much all by itself might have had something to do with it.

Regardless, I was very honored to receive any sort of award.

Just got word from my wife, who is a nursing instructor at North Dakota State University, that the faculty is supposed to begin getting COVID vaccinations starting on December 1st!

With any luck, by the time the 2021 NNL show takes place next May, this whole COVID thing will be just an unpleasant memory! <_<

Thanks Kevin!

My entries didn't qualify for a "rat rod" or "racing subject" award. :P

For the first time since I started attending this show in 2016, I didn't receive a top ten "people's choice" award! :(

Too bad.

I was hoping to continue the streak. :D
