o-man Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Couple of things off eBay to add to my Lexus collection. First one I've seen of this since the one popped up here a few days ago - which is the first one I had seen in months. Easy to find the VIP car, but the stock one, not so much. I'm glad you finally found it! Too bad about the other Lexus, but great of the seller to take care of you! I've had a rash of poorly packed cars with bent or broken A pillars
Austin T Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I went to the same show James did as well today. Didn't enter any models but got a few.
KingSix Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Austin, let me know what you think about that Shelby, I just got one on eBay .. hasn't come in yet
Austin T Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 It's almost the same as that Dodge Omni except for the shelby specific parts. It's a decent kit with a good parts count. Mine was sealed and the decals are almost perfect, but a tire melted into the windshield. Overall it's a cool kit, but not that much of a cool car performance wise. Front wheel drive four banger, Need to find a way to put a 350 in it...

Front wheel drive four banger, Need to find a way to put a 350 in it... I beg to differ. Those little Shelby Chargers were very quick. The turbo 4 in those things would keep up with a Mustang GT, Z/28-IROC-Z or any V8 Firebird. Althoguh they might not have been as fast offline, once rolling, they're pretty scoot. Too bad about the tire in the windshelid. That's gonna hurt. You might be able to fill the offending marks, sand smooth, polish and vacuum-form a new one. Charlie Larkin

Charlie Larkin Well I checked and the Dodge Omni kit that I picked up last saturday. will work just fine so I will get that one vaccuformed

Terminator-Fox Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) Had a good day, attended my first model show today and bought all of this cool stuff!!! IMG_9507 by jrherald420, on Flickr Man I want that bike! Edited November 17, 2013 by Terminator-Fox
Austin T Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Still LOL'ing at the Firebird kit. I don't know as if I'll ever build the kit but for the price I couldn't pass it up. Looks like I've caught "Travolta Fever"
Modlbldr Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Picked up a resin 36 Ford 3 window from a friend of mine. He said he had two and would let me have one. What a friend! Later-
jrherald420 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Man I want that bike! Austin was nice enough to give it to me after telling him i had been wanting to try my hand at building one. Great guy! I don't know as if I'll ever build the kit but for the price I couldn't pass it up. Looks like I've caught "Travolta Fever" It was a good price and it will always be a conversation starter. Still a cool kit.
Modlbldr Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) Man I want that bike! I'd like to get that Jota kit. Later- Edited November 17, 2013 by Modlbldr

I had the non Shelby version with the quad headlight set up. Could eat Cavaliers and Escorts and most other non turbo fours all day.
jaydar Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Man I want that bike! Was that bike ever sold in the States? Joe.
