Danno, the two McLarens were roughly $29.00 each, both kits have a small photo etch fret with the kit, I got one up fit detail photo etch fret for car #41 (the Golf Livery car) that was $15.00 more.....The LaFerrari kit was roughly $37.00 bucks......I think I got a 20% discount on all of these because they were pre-ordered. While I was looking this info up, I figured I would throw in a few more recent HLJ kits I got over the last few months....again all were preordered to take advantage of the usual 20% discount if pre-ordered.... these are all Fijimi kits....they have been on a tear lately with great new kits.....the only complaint that I ever see about these kits is that the engines are rather simplified, which they are, but actually, they look fine when detailed properly.....first is a Ferrari 458 Italia Blanco (sorry, the pictures are a little screwy from lack of light...it is night now)11244391073_2fbb2a6bba.jpg

Next is the 1991 McLaren F1 street version (the race versions were posted before) 11244320514_ac6e6c9aef.jpg

this is the McLaren MP4.12C GT3...this kit is the factory version, but I have the Gulf Livery decal sheet and photo etch fret both from Studio 27 for it 11244329246_3c94e064e9.jpg

next is the same car, but in the Apple/EVA Livery.....I admit it, I am a sucker for these cars with the cute Anami girls on and around them, as you will see from the next two cars...11244323084_b1c81d07ab.jpg

I really like the black paint with the dark purple and green accent stripes.

This is the GSR Project Miral BMW Z4 GT3 with, what I think is a striking paint scheme, black up front fading to orange in the back with the little kids on it11244394163_baf27d884f.jpg

followed by the Goodsmile Racing BMW Z4 GT3 with more anami females adoring the sides and top11244286685_9bc70fdf4e.jpg

and lastly here is the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 in the Petronas colors....I really like the turquose and white scheme on this one, but, alas, no pretty girls on this one.11244286965_7415eef1fe.jpg

On order currently, along with the McLaren MP4/2 I mentioned before is the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV due out later this month, the Lamborghini Veneno (absolutely wild car) and the Revell BMW DTM 2012 "Spangler" car.

See, I wasn't kidding about where my money goes, and please don't tell my wife, if she knew she would kill me for sure.

Thanks for the info on the McLarens, Peter.

I would think the little lady would be more worried about your infatuation with hot but very young cartoon girls before she'd be too concerned about the buck$ involved in buying a few kits! :P J/K.

So you think that it is infatuation, huh??......I just appreciate beauty....a pretty cartoon or a hot new sports car, beauty is just beauty.....truth is, I an infatuated with my wife since the day we met.

all three were pre-ordered from my new "bankers" at HLJ (Hobby Link Japan).....I give them more of my money then I give my savings account at the bank.

Oh, tell me about it, dont ask how much I have spent at HLJ this year :o

These two came in today. Freaking ebay! I'm actually trying to get all the IMSA Mustang kits and are just a couple shy now. I already have the Xtreme kit and have built it similar to my 1:1 truck but if I do build this it will be an LS swapped truck.

Had a model car club meeting tonight and wound up with a 40 Ford Sedan in a bag. Looks to be all there and the parts seem to be sourced from different kits as there is black, grey and white plastic. Too bad the chrome is from the diamond in the rough kit with it's bent bumpers and crappy chrome. Also got a partially built ZZR Spy Car. Not painted and cleanly assembled. Won't be hard to take apart and redo it. A sealed Mercedes kit from Lindberg. A 1/43 scale Moskvitch station wagon with Aeroflot markings. The box says "Made In The USSR". I love this kind of stuff. And an MPC 71 Jeepster Safari Version which also has the Spoof parts included. These were outsized add ons to be comical in appearance. No plow came with this issue, but it has firearms!!! I need to get a new memory card for the camera as my Chihuahua chewed it up.....derned dog!

My first Johan kit came today. I`m kinda happy about it being molded in white and also being complete. I got it cheap because the seller said she could not be 100% sure it was complete.

IIRC you need a Blazer kit, for the grille when building the extreme S10 kit

If you're wanting a '60s Cadillac, Jo-han is the only way to go, too bad really other manufacturers aren't picking up where Jo-Han ended, are Cadillac slow selling kits then?

I don't mind having these....

Gerald Wingrove's "The Complete Car Modeller" volumes one and two, from 1978 and 1991 respectively. Perfect, as-new condition books. Incredible craftsmanship, great scratchbuilding resource.

When a seller says that you can usually be sure it's missing some stuff!

I remember one auction in particular that said something like "I know nothing about models so I'm not sure, but it looks complete to me!" I couldn't find the body in any of the photos! The kicker was that the seller had another 50 models for sale! LOL

It was yesterday, but I got a set of MOPAR steelies and "dog dish" hub caps from a generous forum member as a "pay it forward." A big thank you to him and I will do the same as soon as I find someone in need of something that I can provide...no strings attached.

Got this from ebay today. The prices on these kits seem to be climbing.

Don't worry, they'll make more! :) Seriously, anything they have the tooling for will return.

I have an iPhone 5 for work and my personal phone is a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx...the Droid has been so flaky in recent months I'm thinking of switching to an iPhone 5S.

I got the 5C, Rob. Would happen to know about an app that makes it real easy to copy pics from a PC to an iphone? Somebody told the name but I can't remember it.
