KWT Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Lucky man... need an adopted son? I come with you guys a grandchild included lol.
Modlbldr Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 (edited) Thanks, but I've been trying to find that kit for years at a decent price. I'm hoping I can find the hood when I go back to visit the seller again. I'm old, so pretty soon you might be able to buy it from my Estate Sale. :-) Lol! Be sure to put my name on it and write it into your will for me, would ya? Would love to have it!Later- Edited September 25, 2017 by Modlbldr
#1 model citizen Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Picked these up yesterday. http:// http:// http:// http:// The Imperial is complete. Got to find a hood for the 60 Ford pickup now. Later- I remembered this post & kept meaning to respond to it. I see you have a Cunningham in your acquisition and was wondering what shape its in & what your plans are for it. I have 1 that I'm restoring, however before I realized what I had, I modified the wheels for use on another model. (I had acquired it in 1:32nd junkyard lot) Although I may be able to restore the wheels for use on the Cunningham, I am hoping to find another set in original condition to replace the modified set. I was wondering if yours had all the wheels in good shape & if you would be interested in trading the wheels (or entire model) for??? (I need a taillight, too) Sorry I don't have the PU hood
disabled modeler Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Nice finds John....the Ford pickup is too cool...hope you can find the hood for it.

HomerS Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 From the Kentuckys Largest Slot car show and Model car Swap meet on Sunday. If you are into slot cars, this was a great show but was seriously lacking for the modelers. The red Porsche is sealed.......never saw one of these before. The yellow one is open but complete

iamsuperdan Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Not bad. Ordered from HLJ on Sept 21. Arrived here in Edmonton today. From Japan to Canada in less that a week, and without crazy shipping costs! I wanted something different, and found this in 1/24 scale. Had to have it! I think I'm going to bump this up the queue and put it on the bench next. And of course, needed some Japanese content to go on this truck when completed. And some wheels for another project I have on the go.

Super28 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Got the regular looking glasses at CVS Pharmacy. They're the most powerful they had at 3.25x for 10 dollars. Great for minor magnifying. The other ones I got on Ebay. (Paydays from Walmart)
niteowl7710 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Got this in today, freshly released from Scale Model Creators - a higher end Japanese resin caster that has specialized mostly in transkits for Fujimi Lamborghini Gallardo & Murcielago kits along with some Ferraris. This is designed for the Tamiya MX-5 kit, body, some specific interior pieces, exhaust, different front brakes, sheet of P/E and decals.
Rob Hall Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 What do you do for tires? The wheels should fit the kit tires...
Jhedir6 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 What do you do for tires?Plamoz' wheels are a direct fit to the kit tires, unless he sells them as a set with tires, ie the Revell AMG and McLaren for example which have wheels and tires. How are the Shelby hubs? They looks fantastic, they're definitely going to be in my next order.
Jhedir6 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) Went shopping in the "big city" today and hit up both Michael's there cause they had a 50% off coupon. Used one at each store and picked up a couple more Shelby Mustangs for my collection. '67 from the first, hadnt seen one there in like almost 2yrs, it must of been buried in the back or on a top shelf and they just found it. With tax, $20 '66 from the second, again, havent seen one of them at a Michael's for awhile now, must of been hidden somewhere. With tax, $18. Two nice Mustangs for less than $40...I'm happy. Both stores tho had very little left in stock for model kits, and what they did have were 1-3 kits of each. Hopefully with HL getting some new stock Michael's in the US will update their stock and then send some fresh stuff North. Edited September 29, 2017 by Jhedir6

Well if you can afford several $140 resin transkits, more power to ya I guess. One was enough for me http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10483201
